If I could paint the world my way
I wouldn’t change it much
But just enough to recognize
My own artistic touch.
I’d tint my friends a cheerful hue
And never have to think
Of who was friend and who was foe,
They’d all be shocking pink!
The skies would still be azure blue,
Because it seems to me
I shouldn’t dare to rearrange
God’s great infinity.
